U.S. Space Command hosts first Global Space Security Cooperation Board

U.S. Space Command recently hosted the command’s first Security Cooperation Resourcing Board June 13-16, 2022, at the Catalyst Campus for Technology and Innovation, Colordao Springs, Colo.

Luke Kitterman) “We have ‘space’ in our unit’s name and most people associate that with the operators but I don’t think anyone has such a closer relationship to the system as us,” said Sanchez Avila. “We know the ins and outs of the equipment and antennas—how to set them up, tear down, keep them clean and we are the ones that fix the issues to get the system working again. I take great pride in what I do because I know what I do directly effects boots on the ground.”

216 SPCS enables CFSCC mission, assures access to space through spectrum warfare

VANDENBERG SPACE FORCE BASE, Calif. – One element of warfare that is not always in the limelight but easily touches all warfighting domains is the electromagnetic spectrum. At Vandenberg Space Force Base, there resides an Air National Guard squadron that works regularly with the Combined Force Space Component Command (CFSCC) in its mission to deliver combat relevant space capabilities to combatant commanders.

Peterson teen wins Youth of the Year 2022

PETERSON SPACE FORCE BASE, Colo. — Zakary Stewart, son of U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Stephen Stewart, U.S. Space Command Geospatial Intelligence Division superintendent at Schriever Space Force Base, won the Boys and Girls Club of America Military Youth of the Year Award 2022.
