Civilian service careers are categorized within entry, mid, and senior levels and are associated with different qualification standards, eligibility requirements, and pay grade levels. You can search USAJobs.gov for current U.S. Space Command vacancy announcements or job postings found on job boards, social media, or within advertising or marketing materials from specific U.S. Space Command recruitment events and job fairs.
How to Apply
1. Get Started: Go to USAJOBS.gov
2. Create an Account in USAJOBS
To register, click on the “Create an Account” tab on the USAJOBS homepage. The registration process involves providing basic information including your name, address, phone number, and email address. Once you have set up an account, you can:
• Create multiple resumes suitable for different positions
• Set up as many as 10 Job Search Agents in order to receive email notifications of new job postings
• Upload and save up to ten supporting documents
• View and track applications you've submitted and elect to receive status updates
3. Find a Job Opening
After you’ve completed registering, click the “Search Jobs” link. From this screen, you can enter a keyword “Internship” and/or location and search; or you can click the “Advanced Search” link to browse further. Click here for open US Space Command opportunities.
4. Complete the Online Applications
Once you’ve found a job opening you want to apply for, click the “Apply Online” button. This portion consists of three parts:
• Select your resume and additional documents
• Answer online questions
• Submit supporting documentation for your application
