18 SPCS, GSSAC strengthen interoperability through ‘Operator Exchange’ event

The 18th Space Control Squadron collaborated with members from the German Space Situational Awareness Centre (GSSAC) during an ‘Operator Exchange’ event here April 4-8, 2022. This first-ever, week-long event brought together five GSSAC space operators with numerous 18 SPCS representatives to examine and improve procedures between the two groups who share the same mission set.

U.S. Space Command strengthens partnerships at Space Symposium 37

U.S. Space Command leaders joined space professionals from around the world to participate in the 37th annual Space Symposium at the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs, Colo., April 4-7, 2022. The Space Symposium, hosted by the non-profit Space Foundation each year since 1984, brings together sectors of the space enterprise from around the world to discuss and plan for the future of space. USSPACECOM commander, U.S. Army Gen. James Dickinson, participated in multiple bilateral engagements throughout the week. Dickinson’s keynote speech revealed the Combatant Command’s new commercial integration strategy framework.

CFSCC conducts advanced SATCOM training event with allies, partners

The Combined Force Space Component Command hosted its first “Rapid Tiger” advanced training event from Mar. 28-31, 2022. Rapid Tiger 22-1 focused on commercial Satellite Communication (SATCOM), where a small team of five from the CFSCC Operations Directorate worked with several different operations centers to complete four vignettes that tested CFSCC’s capabilities to support and maintain satellite communications to the warfighter across the globe despite disruptions to the system.
