CFSCC Spotlight: 55th Combat Training Squadron ensures space operations center readiness

VANDENBERG SPACE FORCE BASE, Calif. — The Combined Force Space Component Command’s Combined Space Operations Center (CSpOC) works 24-hours a day, seven days a week, to provide tailored space effects that support combatant commanders and accomplish national security objectives.  Even those executing this important mission on a daily basis need to sharpen their skills and strive for continuous improvement, and the 55th Combat Training Squadron (CTS), also based at Vandenberg SFB, is charged with doing just that.

Navy selects JTF-SD member to be among first Maritime Space Officers

SCHRIEVER SPACE FORCE BASE, Colo. — The Navy selects 25 officers to be Maritime Space Officer, including Cmdr. Jason Elfe, Joint Task Force-Space Defense deputy chief of operations capabilities and integration section.

Dickinson recognizes JTF-SD members

SCHRIEVER SPACE FORCE BASE, Colo. — U.S. Army Gen. James Dickinson, U.S. Space Command commander, presented several Joint Task Force-Space Defense members with coins during a Dec. 14 visit to the functional component command.

Jacob Simmons, JTF-SD command senior enlisted leader, welcomed Andrea Yaffe, acting Assistant Secretary of Defense for Space Policy, on Dec. 14 during her visit to Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado.
