U.S. Space Command, in partnership with NASA, U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, and Air Forces Space, successfully recovered the crewed Orion spacecraft from the Pacific Ocean and facilitated the four astronauts’ safe return, April 10, 2026, following Artemis II’s historic mission around the Moon.

Grisham, a long-time Alabama native with nearly 40 years of military and civilian service, is spearheading U.S. Space command’s relocation to Redstone Arsenal as the director of the transition team. His deep ties to the region and extensive logistical expertise make him uniquely suited to lead the historic move.
