USSPACECOM Commander's reading list

U.S. Space Command

Gen. Stephen Whiting, U.S. Space Command commander, shared his first Commander’s Reading List, including nine books and a podcast covering topics on competitor’s foreign policy and strategic behavior; the strategic, legal, and policy challenges of military space operations; national security strategy; the global cyber arms race; and more.

This reading list aims to inspire meaningful, creative discussions about the ideas presented and historical lessons learned from the material.

“The intent of this reading list is to foster a culture of continual learning and professional mastery in the core skills we need at USSPACECOM,” Whiting said. “By increasing our knowledge base and gaining perspective, we aim to enhance our expertise, strengthen our capabilities, and ensure we are well prepared to collectively meet the challenges ahead.”
