U.S. Space Command, JTF-SD host Senate Intelligence Committee congressmen

SCHRIEVER SPACE FORCE BASE, Colo. -- U.S. Space Force Lt. Gen. John Shaw, U.S. Space Command deputy commander, met with Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) and committee member, Sen. Michael Bennet (D-CO), during their visit to Schriever Space Force Base March 4, 2022. The congressmen met with leaders from USSPACECOM and Joint Task Force-Space Defense to discuss the command’s mission to protect and defend the space domain. USSPACECOM conducts operations in, from, and to space to deter conflict, and if necessary, defeat aggression, deliver space combat power for the Joint and Combined force, and defend U.S. vital interests with allies and partners.
