U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Tom James, Joint Task Force-Space Defense commander, talks with Andrea Yaffe, acting Assistant Secretary of Defense for Space Policy, on Dec. 14 during her visit to Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado. James and U.S. Space Force Chief Master Sgt. Jacob Simmons, JTF-SD command senior enlisted leader, showcased their protect-and-defend mission in support of Yaffe's role in interagency coordination and international engagement on space policy and strategy.
