NATO delegation visits CFSCC

Maj. Gen. DeAnna Burt, Combined Force Space Component Command commander, hosted members from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization on Oct. 11, 2021.

Visiting CFSCC headquarters at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California, were Michael Callender, Section Head, Aerospace Capabilities Section, from the United StatesGiorgio Cioni, Director, Armament and Aerospace Capabilities, from Italy; Gregory Ivey, Section Head, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance, Land and Maritime Capabilities, from Canada; Brig. Gen. Jim Smith, Deputy U.S. Military Representative to the NATO Military Committee; and Col. Bryan Titus, Director, CFSCC Strategic Plans, Programs and Requirements Directorate.  

The delegation met with U.S. Space Command, CFSCC and 18th Space Control Squadron representatives while touring the Combined Space Operations Center and CFSCC headquarters building, and discussed topics such as space domain awareness. The NATO delegation visit follows an engagement with various DoD representatives in Washington, D.C.
