DoD's newest combatant command celebrates 1st birthday

U.S. Space Command was officially established Aug. 29, 2019, during a ceremony in the White House Rose Garden with President Donald Trump; Dr. Mark T. Esper, Secretary of Defense; and Gen. John W. “Jay” Raymond, former USSPACECOM commander and current U.S. Space Force Chief of Space Operations; and Chief Master Sgt. Roger Towberman, former USSPACECOM command senior enlisted leader and current USSF CSEL.
