USSPACECOM hosts Keystone Event
Gen. Stephen Whiting, U.S. Space Command commander, speaks approximately 40 fellows from National Defense University’s Keystone course in Colorado Springs, Colorado, June 9, 2025. Whiting emphasized the vital role of NCOs as the backbone of the military. He addressed the senior enlisted leaders–serving or preparing to serve at the general of flag officer level–and briefed them on USSPACECOM’s mission and capabilities to enhance joint warfighting effectiveness. USSPACECOM works with senior leaders across the Department of Defense and our allies to foster a warfighting culture and promote professional growth, which is instrumental to the rapidly advancing capabilities of the Joint Force.
