USSPACECOM hosts Keystone Event
Lt. Gen. Thomas James, U.S. Space Command deputy commander, speaks to approximately 40 fellows from National Defense University’s Keystone course in Colorado Springs, Colorado, June 9, 2025. During his remarks, he emphasized that space isn’t just special, it’s unique, and urged space professionals to better train and educate others on its value to the joint warfighter. As part of the Keystone course, senior enlisted leaders– serving or preparing to serve at the general or flag officer level–received briefings on USSPACECOM’s mission and capabilities to strengthen joint operations. USSPACECOM works with senior leaders across the Department of Defense and our allies to foster a warfighting culture and promote professional growth, which is instrumental to the rapidly advancing capabilities of the Joint Force.
