Gen. Stephen Whiting, U.S. Space Command commander, greets Lt. Gen. Carlos Enrique Chávez Cateriano, Peruvian Air Force chief of staff, at the 40th Annual Space Symposium in Colorado Springs, Colorado, April 10, 2025. During the meeting, they discussed strengthening the USSPACECOM and Peruvian Air Force space cooperation in line with USSPACECOM’s third element of victory: integrate and synchronize Joint, interagency, Allied, and commercial effects. USSPACECOM, working with Allies and Partners, plans, executes, and integrates military spacepower into multi-domain global operations in order to deter aggression, defend national interests, and when necessary, defeat threats.
