USSPACECOM leaders travel to Indo-Pacific
Gen. Stephen N. Whiting, U.S. Space Command commander, Chief Master Sgt. Jacob Simmons, USSPACECOM command senior enlisted leader, and members of the USSPACECOM delegation met with members of the Japanese Air Self Defense Force’s Space Operations Group at Fuchu Air Base, Japan, April 23, 2024. During the visit, Japan Air Self-Defense Force Col. Kimitoshi Sugiyama, commander of the Space Operations Group, and Warrant Officer Ueji “George” Tadayoshi, SOG senior enlisted advisor, and SOG members discussed ongoing U.S.-Japan space operations collaborations, identifying space situational awareness data and information sharing initiatives.
