USSPACECOM Host CSpO Principles Board
Dr. John Plumb, Assistant Secretary of Defense for Space Policy, welcomed participants to the Combined Space Operations (CSpO) Initiative Principals Board in Colorado Springs, Colorado, April 12, 2024. CSpO provides a forum for senior leaders from the U.S., Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Norway, and the United Kingdom to discuss a shared commitment to a rules-based international order centered around responsible behavior in space. This mutual understanding aims to generate and improve cooperation, coordination, and interoperability opportunities to sustain freedom of action in space, optimize resources, enhance mission assurance and resilience, and deter conflict. U.S. Space Command, working with Allies and Partners, plans, executes, and integrates military spacepower into multi-domain global operations in order to deter aggression, defend national interests, and when necessary, defeat threats.
