USSPACECOM Leaders Host SEAC
Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Sgt. Maj. Troy E. Black spoke to U.S. Space Command senior enlisted leaders at Peterson Space Force Base, Colo., Dec. 19, 2023. During his visit, Black spoke with recent graduates of the GATEWAY Joint Enlisted Professional Military Education Course seeking feedback and providing insights to changes that could improve the current process. Black’s number one concern focused on the current capacity and how the services might process more participants through the curriculum. He also proposed the idea that combatant commands could use recent graduates as trainers to facilitate the training at home stations, ensuring more enlisted personnel across the Joint Force are better prepared to operate in the Joint environment, “because that’s how the Department of Defense operates.” (USSPACECOM photo by Christopher DeWitt)
