USSPACECOM hosts Inaugural Joint Space Medicine Forum
U.S. Air Force Maj. Gen. Brook Leonard, U.S. Space Command chief of staff, addresses attendees of the inaugural Joint Space Medicine Forum, April 27, 2022, at Peterson Space Force Base, Colo. Participants included service component command surgeons from Navy Space Command, U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command, and U.S. Space Force and program directors from the U.S. Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine, Naval Aerospace Medical Institute, School of Army Aviation Medicine, University of Texas, Medical Branch and the NASA deputy chief medical officer. USSPACECOM collaborates with academic institutions to assist, analyze and develop recommendations and potential solutions to complex challenges in the space domain. James Dickinson, U.S. Space Command command and MGySgt Scott Stalker, USSPACECOM senior enlisted leader along with their spouses wish "Happy Holidays" to service women and men and their families. USSPACECOM is the 11th Combatant Command with space professionals around the globe keeping an eye to infinity for the defense of the United States and it's allies and partners.
