USSPACECOM hosts Australian Chief of Joint Operations
U.S. Army Gen. James Dickinson, U.S. Space Command commander met with Australian Army Lt. Gen. Gregory Bilton, Chief of Joint Operations, to reaffirm the importance of space cooperation between the United States and Australia Nov. 1, 2021. Senior USSPACECOM leaders briefed Bilton on threats to the space domain and discussed additional areas to enhance strategic partnerships. Officials from Joint Task Force-Space Defense briefed Bilton on the protect–and-defend mission and Combined Force Space Component Command briefed on space support to global operations. USSPACECOM conducts operations in, from, and to space to deter conflict, and if necessary, defeat aggression, deliver space combat power for the Joint and Combined force, and defend U.S. vital interests with allies and partners.
