Col. David Franklin, United States Space Command (USSPACECOM) Inspector General (IG), reports directly to the Commander, USSPACECOM (CDRUSSPACECOM), serving to report on efficiency, discipline, morale, training, and readiness throughout the Command. Within the Office of the IG (OIG), the inspection and complaints/investigations processes perform as fair, impartial, and objective fact-finding to assist senior leaders and the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Guardians, Marines, Coast Guardsmen, Civilians and their families to quickly resolve issues of concern.

Senior Master Sgt. Joshua C. Music is the Senior Enlisted leader for the Office of the Inspector General, United States Space Command, Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado. He leads a diverse team of experts responsible to the USSPACECOM Commander to evaluate the effectiveness, readiness, discipline and morale of the Combatant Command, sub-commands and components to support national space priorities.  Sergeant Music provides direct feedback, support, and assistance to the Inspector General for implementing the Joint Inspector General System.

The Joint Inspector General Action Request (JIGAR) DD Form 2949 is required to document a case. Download the form and save it before filling out so you can provide as much detail as possible. You can mail this form to 1670 Newport Rd., Rm 272; Colorado Springs, CO 80916, but be aware using mail may delay processing.  or more expeditious processing, you can email it to USSC IG. You can also file a complaint with an IG at any level, including the Department of Defense Inspector General (DoDIG).  The DoDIG can be contacted at their web site DoDIG or by calling their hotline at 800-424-9098. Regulations require that particular issues use other-than-IG channels for redress. A list of those matters can be found here.
